The Charity Trustees who served during the year were: Amir Rahil Riyaz Yakub Bhika Mohammad Rahil ## **Governing document and constitution** The Trust is a charitable incorporated organisation formed using the foundation model dated 23 May 2022 and is registered as a Charity with Charity Commission for England and Wales under charity number 1199048. ## **Governance and management** The Trust is governed by the trustees, who are responsible for the effective management of the Trust. Meetings are held on a regular basis. ## **Objects of the Charlty** The principal objectives for the Leicester Sunni Muslim Organisation are: To advance in life and relieve needs of young people, through: The provision of recreational and leisure time acitivities provided in the interest of social welfare, designed to improve their conditions of life; and Providing support and activities which develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as mature and responsible individuals. To relieve financial hardship among poor people, orphans, widows and other people in need by means of, but not exclusively, making grants for providing or paying for items, equipment, services and facilities, including the provision of food, water and livelihood programmes and the cost for attending school for the benefit of the said persons. To advance the religion of Islam by means of, but not exclusively, provision or assistance in the provision of facilities for Islamic education, in accordance with the teachings of the Quran and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as interpreted and accepted by the Ahle-Sunnah Wal-Jamaa-Ah school of thought. ## **Activities report** In planning activities, the trustees kept in mind the Charity Commissioner's guidance on public benefit at the The charity provides funds to promote Islamic knowlede and guidence to the Muslim community as well as ## **Volunteers** On occasions the Association involves volunteers in the delivery of its activities.
