The vision of GMCoM is “Fostering a harmonious and enriched Greater Manchester where Muslim communities are leading figures, thriving alongside diverse groups through respect, understanding, and joint efforts for the betterment of all."
GMCoM aspires to bridge this gap, offering a strategic voice to Muslim congregations, addressing inequities, and enhancing service delivery through collaboration with diverse faiths and entities. Its Mission Highlights are as follows:

Activities and Achievements
The trustees are delighted to report the following:
-
The trustees continued to engage with the already established councils of mosques as well as the ones which are being developed and offered support and advice to ensure a streamlined approach across all boroughs.
-
GMCoM continued to engage with regional and local strategic partners either directly or through local council of mosques and provided support as necessary.
-
The most critical engagement has been with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority and Police during highly tense summer riots in various towns and cities, as well as ongoing conflict in the Middle East GMCoM played a key role as a conduit to promote peace through its members and wider partners.
-
The trustees set up regular meetings with the Deputy Mayor of Greater Manchester Combined Authority who is responsible for policing and these regular meetings entail planning for security measures during Ramadhan and other important occasions.
-
The trustees continued to employ a temporary admin support to help them with the day-to-day activities. The admin support has extensive experience of working in the charity sector.
