Section D Achievements and performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

Having founded the charity in June 2022, we had our first formal launch event with a well known south Asian writer in June 2023. The event was sold out and held in Southall. A creative writing competition has also been run in conjunction with this launch. Another event occurred in August to test out the ability of doing an event outside of London. It was very successful and raised some donations. Jumpers and PE kits for children at Sher Jung’s old school in India were sourced in India and given to those children. A series of author talks were established with the first one in March 2024 and very well attended. A charity website was also created.
