The Ifuslees present their report along with the financial stslements of the chaiity for the year
ended 31 March 2024.
The financial statements have been prepared in acc(￿￿nee wilh the accounting policTes set OLrt in
note 1 and comply wlh the constitution dated 20 March 2022. ihe Ctharities Act 2011 and
Accounting and Reporting by Charities-. Slalemenl of Recommended Practice applicable to charities
preparing their aC￿UnIS in accordan￿ wlh the Financial Reporbng Standafd applicable in the UK
and Republic of Ireland IFRS102) effeclNe 1 January 2019.
Structure. Govemance and Management
Fishing for Herces is a eharitable irujrporaled organisation ICIO}. The goveming docurnent is tlaled
20 Maich 2022 and it was registered V+ilh the Charity Commissicffl on 17 May 2022.
Al an EGM held on 8 October 2022 il was resolved to dissofve the unincorporal&J charity. registered
number 1135355. and transfer all remaining assets to the CIO.
The CIO conslilution provides lor the appointment ofa minimum of three trustees. Trustees are
appointed by resolution passed al a trustees. meeting.
The Injslees meel regularty throughoul the year lo discuss the charitys affairs.
The Board of TnJstees keeps the sknll ￿u•re￿ntS for the Trustee Body under review and in the
event that there is a vacancy. the Board seeks r￿InatiOnS from people VAK) have the necessary
skills and interest.
The induction process for any newly appointed tntstee thmprises an initial meeting wiu) the Board
of Trustees al which a pack is provided. This indLrdes a copy of the goveming d(tument. a Copy of

Risk Review
The trustees have examined the major intemal and extemal risks vthich the Charity faces 8r¥J
confirm thal systems have been established to minimise these risks.
Objects and Activities
The objects of the charity are lo assisl in the trealment aThJ care of both serwng and ex-serving
members of the amied forces ol the Crown and commo￿lth suffering from mental health or
physical illness of any desuiption.
The main acbvity during the period under re￿eW has been Ihe provisk)n of fy-fishiry courses and
Regional Gel Togethers across England and Wales.

The Trustees confimi that Ihey have referred lo the guidance conlained in the Charity Commission's
general guidance on public benefit and have complied their duties under the Charities Act 2011

I report to Ihe charity Iruslees on my examination of the accounts of Ihe charity for the year
ended 31 March 2024 which are set out on pages 5-9.
Responsibllities and basis of report
As the charitls trustees you are responsitje for the preparation of Ihe aceounls in accordance
with the requirements of the Charities kt 2011 ('the Act.).
I report in respect of my examinalM)n of the chariws accounts Ca￿led tyJl under section 145 of
the Act and in carrwng out my examination I have followed all the appjtcable Directions given by
the Charity Commission under section 145(5)Ibl of the Act.

in connection wlh the examination giving me Cause to believe that in any material respect=
accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section 130 of the

1. Accounting Poli¢ies
Basis of Accounting
The accounts have been p￿pared in accordance wlh Accounting and Reporting by Charities:
Statement of Recommended Practice applicable lo charities preparing their a￿ountS in accordan
with the Financial Reporting Slandard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland {FRS 102)
effective 1 January 2019 and the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of
Ireland IFRS 102} and the Charities Act 2011.
The accounts have been prepared under the historic81 cost conventK¥n.
The charity conslilules a public b8nefrt entity as defined by FRS 102.
Income
Income is recognised when receivable.
Donated goods and services
Donated goods and services are included al their estimaled value lo the charty.
Expendilu
Expenditure is included in the statement of financial activities on an accruals basis.
Fixed assets are capilalised and de￿e￿atron is provided at 25% on a redueing balance basis.
Stock
Stock is valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value.
Funds
The unreslricled income fund ¢omprises those funds which the tnjslees are free to use in accordan
with the charitable objects. Restricted fuThls must be spent in accordance with donor restrictions.
2. Donations in Kind
Donations in kind include £8.10012023 - £7.765) in respect of chariiable activil￿S and
£nil re insurance12023 - £683).
3. Trustees Rernuneration and Expenses and Related Party Transactions
No trustee received remuneration for acting in the capacity of tnjstee.
Donations include £15.000 12023- £15.0001 from the aarke Farnily Trust. of which
Simon Clarke is a trustee.
The insurance premium of £683 was a donation from H811 Davies in 2023.
In 2023 charitable actNiles ineluded payments lotalling £2,885 to Ladybower Fisheries.
a business owned by G Smith. Ladybower Fisheries charged the charty preferential rates.
R J?mieson vtas paid £100 for fishing tuition (2023- £7281.
