TRUSTEES’ ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2024
The Trustees present their report with the financial statements of the Charitable Incorporated Organisation for the year ended 31 December 2024.
During this period, the Organisation had no financial activity, and as such, has prepared dormant accounts.
Governance
The Organisation is constituted as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) Foundation, as a body corporate under Part 11 of the Charities Act 2011 on 16 May 2022. The CIO registered with Charity Commissioners (Number 1198959) on the same day.

Objects and Aims for the Public Benefit
The Trustees are aware of the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit in The Advancement of Religion for the Public Benefit and have had regard to it in their administration of the Organisation.
The advancement of the Christian gospel and faith within the Diocese of Worcester by administering and maintain churches or ecclesiastical buildings leased for public worship in accordance with the Christian faith as received by the Church of England. To promote, aid, and further the objects, work and business of the church of England (hereafter called “The Church”) in (but not limited to) the Diocese of Worcester and to perform work and transact business in connection with The Church, and to do and carry out or assist in doing and carrying out all such matters and things as are likely to promote or help and of the said objects or work.
Organisation
The Organisation is controlled by the Trustees.
Investment Policy and Performance
The Organisation was dormant during this year and does not hold any investments.
Main Activities and Achievements
The Organisation was dormant during this period.
Reserves Policy
The Organisation was dormant during this period and holds no reserves.
Risk Management
The Organisation has been dormant since its constitution, with no assets or activity to manage the risk of. There is £10,000 of committed funding from the Church of England “National Church” which has not been accessed to date.

Trustees’ Responsibilities
The Trustees are responsible for preparing the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice.
Charity law requires the Trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the Organisation and of the surplus or deficit of the Organisation for that period. In preparing these financial statements, the Trustees are required to:

Observe the methods and principles in the charities Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP);

Select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently;

Make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent;

State whether applicable accounting standards have been followed, subject to any material departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements;

Prepare financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the Organisation will continue in business.
The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the Organisation and to enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities Act 2011. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Organisation and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Basis of accounting
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with applicable accounting standards and the current Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP), Accounting and Reporting by Charities and Financial Reporting Standard 102 (FRS102). The financial statements have been prepared as dormant due to there being no financial activity during this financial year or the prior financial period.
Going Concern
The Trustees consider that there are no material uncertainties about the Organisation’s ability to continue as a going concern.
Public Benefit Entity
The Trustees consider that the fund is a public benefit entity as defined by FRS102 – see the Trustees’ Annual Report on pages 1 to 2.
2. EMPLOYEES
The Diocese of Worcester Church Buildings Management and Partnership Trust has no employees (2023: Nil).
3. REMUNERATION AND EXPENSES
The Trustees, or any person connected with them, have not received any remuneration or reimbursement of expenses during the year (2023: £Nil) and did not receive any benefit from the Organisation (2023: £Nil).
4. GENERAL INFORMATION
The Diocese of Worcester Church Buildings Management Partnership Trust is a registered charitable incorporated organisation (CIO), registered in England and Wales, and domiciled in England.
The Organisation’s registration number is 1198959 and the registered office is 16 Lowesmoor Wharf, Worcester, WR1 2RS.
The principal activity of the Organisation for the period is as set out in the Trustees’ Report on pages 1 to 2.
The functional and presentational currency for the Organisation during the year was GBP and the accounts are rounded to the nearest GBP.
