Objectives and Activities: The object of the CIO is, for the public benefit, to advance the education of young people in the Mbabzi area of Malawi, Africa, in such ways as the charity trustees think fit, including by: a) Awarding to such persons scholarships tenable at any university, college or institution of higher or further education b) Improving the school facilities and infrastructure
In this reporting period (April 2022 to April 2023), the charity has paid for two full terms of secondary school education for three Malawians who performed well in the Standard 8 Primary Exams but whose families are unable to afford the secondary school education. The charity has provided school fees, school uniform, self-boarding costs, food for term time, school books, uniform and stationery.
Financial Review: Income for the accounting period (April 2022 to April 2023) was £3,198 (the charity only started fundraising in December 2022). All income was in the form of fundraising activities, donations from individuals or corporations, and book sales.
