The SYTT restores vintage buses and exhibits them, by holding open days and running days for the educational benefit of the public. The vehicle collection is generally focused on, but not limited to the South Yorkshire area.

Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are:1) The Advancement Of Education For The Public Benefit In The History And Heritage Of Road Passenger Transport In South Yorkshire, In Particular Through The Preservation And Restoration Of Buses For Public Display, Together With Associated Archives Detailing Its Development Throughout The 20Th Century. 2) To Promote The Efficiency And Effectiveness Of Charities And The Effective Use Of Charitable Resources For The Public Benefit In South Yorkshire Through The Provision Of Adapted Vehicles To Enable Charities And Not For Profit Organisations To Deliver Services And Support To Relieve The Charitable Needs Of Economically And Socially Disadvantaged People.
