By<br>applying a consistent approach, we provide<br>routine and clear structure to the day.<br>Attending Sapphire has provided them with<br>routine, familiarity, security, and friendships.<br>We provide the following activities to<br>facilitate a range of interventions:-<br>Taster sessions in various life skills<br>activities e.g., cooking, cleaning, washing<br>and the importance of personal hygiene.<br>Community based activities such as a<br>shopping to buy food, clothes, paying bills,<br>accessing local dentist, doctors, and leisure<br>facilities.<br>Creative and experiential activity sessions<br>to develop teamwork, problem solving,<br>decision making, confidence and<br>communication skills.<br>Discreet time to ensure the individuals<br>using the service can reflect on their<br>personal progress or identify future needs.<br>Participate in events that support their<br>understanding of fundraising, enabling<br>them to plan, make decisions and develop<br>organisational skills.<br>Take part in community-based activities<br>including volunteering, to foster their<br>independence and value the contribution<br>they can make to local communities and<br>the wider society.<br>Take part in a range of visits to experience<br>various environments, cultures and meet<br>new people, thereby increase the<br>development of their life skills, personal<br>initiative, and confidence.<br>We also promote the opportunity for<br>parents to come together to support each<br>other|

We recognise and<br>value their feedback and ensure that their<br>contributions are fed into the continued<br>development of the organisation.<br>We have ensured that there are good<br>working relationships between paid staff<br>and all volunteers, and that the volunteers<br>are well supported.<br>They receive a full induction and undertake<br>minimum essential core training as part of<br>the job role .More specific development<br>training opportunities are identified through<br>supervision and as part of the performance<br>management framework<br>All volunteers are bound by the same<br>requirements for Data privacy and<br>confidentiality as the paid staff at Sapphire<br>Partnership.<br>Volunteers have a named supervisor as a<br>point of contact who provides the on-the-<br>job training and support. We have provided<br>a clear pathway for volunteers to move into<br>paid employment when they feel ready to<br>make that progression.|

## **Independent examiner’s report to the trustees of Sapphire Partnership (‘the Charity’)** 

I report to the Trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Charity for the year ended 30 April 2023. 

## **Responsibilities and basis of report** 

As the charity trustees of the Charity you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“ the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

## **Independent examiner’s statement** 

I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: 

1. Accounting records were not kept in respect of the Charity as required by section 130 of the Act; or 

2. The accounts do not accord with those records. 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
