The Friends is a Charity and was registered with the Charities Commission on 6[th] May 2022, and has registered with HMRC to claim gift aid from this date.

Aim and Purposes
The primary objective of The Friends of Poling Church is to raise funds for the advancement of the Christian religion by maintaining and enhancing the Parish Church of St Nicholas Church Poling in the Diocese of Chichester, including its fabric, monuments, churchyard, curtilage, fences gates and its rights of way and as a resource in the development and assistance of the community, residents, and churchgoers of the Parish as delineated by the Diocesan map existing on the 1st of January 2021.
Objectives and Activities
Our objectives are to raise funds to support the Charities aims by

Encouraging people to make regular donations by direct debit.

Running various “ Village “ events in conjunction with theP.C.C. This year we have had a Christmas Fayre , a Burns night Meal, 2 film nights, a Halloween evening and an Art exhibition.
Review of the year
1. The Trustees met 3 times in the year.
2. The fund raising events raised £1346 for the Friends .
3. Members donations amounted to £3426
4. Other donations and legacies amounted to £675
5. The Charity also made donations to St Barnabus and The Snowdrop Trust
