TRUSTEE’S REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30TH JUNE 2025
Objectives and activities
O’Flynn Foundation objectives are the advancement of such charitable purposes (according to the laws of England and Wales) as the Trustees see fit from time to time, and in particular (but not exclusively) the advancement of education and the promotion of physical and mental health.
The Trustees confirm that they have complied with the duty in Section 17 of the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to the public benefit guidance provided by the Charity Commission.
Achievement and Performance
The Foundation, established in May 2022, is dedicated to supporting members of the community who face significant challenges such as severe mental health conditions, recovery from a stroke, or managing degenerative conditions like MS and Parkinson's disease. Our work is carried out in collaboration with Fortis Therapy, a highly professional company who provides mental health therapy and support, and Lincs Inspire, which offers assistance to individuals living with the aftermath of a stroke and degenerative conditions.
Entering its fourth year, the Foundation has supported 63 clients through Fortis Therapy and 152 clients through Lincs Inspire. Our commitment remains steadfast in providing ongoing support for both organisations, contingent upon the availability of funding. The foundation will be supporting 10 people suffering from Parkinsons for twice weekly chair exercises at The Trin in Cleethorpes in February 2026. This support is for one year, but the foundation ambition is to continue this support ongoing.
The Foundation's fundraising efforts are spearheaded by its founder, Jayne Anne O’Flynn, who organises two key annual events. The International Women’s Day Lunch at Healing Manor funds support for one individual at Fortis Therapy and four at Lincs Inspire. The Annual Golf Day at Laceby Manor serves as the Foundation’s primary fundraising event, typically generating over £8,000. This substantial contribution enables support for nine clients at Fortis Therapy each year. Jayne Anne O’Flynn and two of her colleagues did a SkyDive in |November 2025 and raised over £1,200.
In 2024, the Foundation was awarded a £20,000 Lottery Grant, allocated over two years, to further our mission. Additionally, the Trustees engage with local businesses and the community to secure year-round support. Initiatives include coffee mornings and other local fundraising events.
Looking ahead, the Trustees are excited to introduce a new initiative aimed at providing a bursary or scholarship for a promising young individual from a disadvantaged background. This program is designed to enhance future employment prospects and is planned for implementation during the 2026/2027 financial year, pending sufficient funds. Due to lack of funding the foundation has had to postpone this until sufficient funds are available, but it is a strong desire of the Trustees that this will happen in 2026/27.
The Foundation has extremely low overheads and all Trustees including the Founder are volunteers which means that all income goes to the core values of the foundation.
Financial Review
The charity made an in year deficit of £12,128 and has free reserves carried forward of £16,998. There is no formal reserves policy in place due to the low level of fixed costs.

Structure, governance and management
The charity is registered as a CIO, effective from 6 May 2022. Trustees are recruited based on their relevant experience and enthusiasm for the work the charity conducts.

Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of O'Flynn Foundation
I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of the charity for the period ended 31st May 2025 which are set out on pages 4 to 6.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
As the charity’s trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’).
I report in respect of my examination of the charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:
- accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section 130 of the Act; or 2. the accounts do not accord with those records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
