Achievements and Performance
During 2025–2026, Action on Womb Cancer continued to expand its impact across research, education, and patient advocacy.
The charity supported early-stage research projects focused on improving diagnosis and treatment of endometrial cancer, including projects exploring digital pathology, artificial intelligence, biomarker discovery, and tumour immune microenvironment profiling.
In collaboration with academic and NHS partners, the charity contributed to awareness activities highlighting the importance of abnormal vaginal bleeding as a potential symptom of womb cancer and encouraged earlier presentation and diagnosis.
The charity also delivered a series of patient information webinars addressing:
-
treatment pathways;
-
survivorship;
-
psychological wellbeing;
-
and management of treatment-related side effects.
A new online patient resource hub was launched during the year, providing accessible educational material for patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
The trustees are particularly proud of the charity’s increasing engagement with underserved and socially disadvantaged communities, with efforts focused on reducing barriers to cancer awareness and access to support.
