All new trustees are requested to submit a CV and are then interviewed prior to appointment. Existing trustees hold a board meeting to vote on their appointment.

Section D Achievements and performance

In our first year we have started developing our fundraising plans and Summary of the main managed to raise £7899.52 between the period 4 May 2022 to 1 April achievements of the charity 2023 and received donated services worth £2,000. Working with during the year volunteer fundraisers we raised money through our online presence and fundraising events. In this period, we ran an outreach project in North Goa and reached in excess of 400 animals requiring sterilisation as part of our Animal Birth Control (ABC) programme, rescuing and treatment for injuries, parasite control treatment, or requiring a course of medicine. We bought equipment and medicines to run the animal shelter in Agonda, South Goa, efficiently and to be able to reach as many injured animals as possible. We were able to assist over 300 animals in the period as part of the shelter’s ABC programme and other rescue and treatment cases. We worked very closely with the local communities to ensure all stray and beach dogs are being fed during the monsoon season when most of the businesses are closed and there is no one available to care for the animals and no one to report on any sicknesses or injuries. Through our monsoon feeding programme in North and South Goa we reached an estimated 200> dogs.
