Treasurers Statement
At the end of 2021 with the actual and imminent departure of up to three of the Trustees of the charity, it was decided to review the status of the Charity and take steps to update it to make it fit for continued purpose.
It was decided to move to a new Charitable status called a Charitable Incorporated Organisation.
The Constitution was rewritten to reflect the revised operation of the Charity. This was accepted and In May 2022 the new Charity was registered with the Charity Commission, with the Charity number 1198808. The name of the new charity was unchanged from the old unincorporated charity.
Another major activity on the Charity’s front has been the merger of the activities of Amber Valley Talking Newspapers.
The accounts which follow are those from the inception of the CIO to the end of the financial year.
