Trustees’ Annual report and Accounts, 2023-2024

Trustees’ Report

This report covers the period from 1[st] April 2023 until 31[st] March 2024.

The Trust recorded little activity during the year, largely because the Chair of the Trust, Dr Gillian Stoker, was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour in May 2023. Dr Stoker sadly died on 13[th] February 2024.

Following Dr Stoker’s death, the three remaining trustees were joined as a trustee by Dr Stoker’s niece, Caroline Felstead, as it was felt important that the family continue to be represented on the board. Ms Felstead, who has considerable experience in management and administration, was appointed a trustee on 20[th] February 2024.

Following Dr Stoker’s death, Mark Braund became Chair of board of Trustees.

The Trust made one grant of £500 to a student at the Royal Northern College of Music, who had chosen to include a work by Richard Stoker in her examination pieces. It also received donation income of £1,000.
