Kingsthorpe Baptist Church Registered Charity 1198734 Trustees Annual Report Year Ending 31., December 2023 Structure, Governance and Management The Charity was registered as CIO on 26 Aprll 2022 in preparation to take over th6 activities of the previously unincorporated charity of Kingslhorpe Baptist Church. The unincorporated charity continued in oPerat￿On until 318t May 2023 when all of Its assots were transferred to the CIO. The first Annual General Meeting of the CIO was held on the 14th May 2023. At the meeting the election of trustees and appointment of Officers took place in accordance with the Church CIO Constitution. The eleGted trustees are: Adrian Hicks - Chair of Trustees Catherine Bruce- Secretary & Trustee Mary Reynolds- Treesurer & Trustee Martin Turnbull - Trustee Stephen Robbins- Trustee What the charlty does: Religious Activities Who the charity helps: Children/young People. Provides Buildlngslfacilities/open Space Provides Services Provldes Advocacy/advice/information Where the charlty operates: Northamptonshire Objective and Activities The principal objectivas of the charity as set out in the governing document are "The advancement of the Christian faith according to the principles of the Baptisl denominatlon, advancing education and carrying out other charitable purposes in the United Kingdom and other parts of the world" The church works through associations with the Baptist Union of Great Britain, the Baptist Missionary Society, Th6 Central Baptist Association and other similar Christian charitable organisations within the UK and world-wide.

The main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects during the period covered by this report are the work and witness of the church through regular public Sunday Worship services at 10.45 a.m. The church in co-operation with the local M8thodist Church Community in Kingsthorpe runs A Girls Brigade Group and a Carers and toddlers group. Members facilitate weekly coffee mornings after Sunday service, open to the public, with the purpose of assisting the community and demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ. The Church continues to support the local Food Bank, Northampton Street Pastors, baby Basics and other local charities. The Trustees have read the Charily Commission guidance on public ben8fit and are satisfied that the aclivities outlined above clearly demonstrate that the charity is providing a benefit to Ihe public, Financlal Review The Trustees are satisfied that they have sufficient res8Nes at the Balance Sheet date, together with ongolng income anticipated, to enable the church to functlon effectlvely in the com5ng year.
