The charitys principal objectives are to form a museum to display and preserve the richly

aircraft Vickers Viking G-AGRW for the public benefit and present the aircraft as a focal point of
the future museum. This aircraft (ond many others of its type based ot Blackbushe) helped
develop the early years of air passenger transport.
To carry out this primary project, the trust has established a workshop from which it vvill
promote. teach and train people from all age groups. therefore helping to continue the relevant
heritage training skills for future generations.
Fundraising activities have consisted of attendance at various aviation fairs and events with
our newly expanded charity stand. We have held a programme of information talks at the
Pathfinder Café throughout the year as well as selling our merchandise online, at our on-site
shop ond temporary History Hub. We hove also held 2 successful raffles ond several quiz nights.
Since her orrival in Moy 2023. our Engineering team made up of Trustees and a dedicated group
of volunteers have begun a comprehensive programme of restoration.
In planning and carrying out all charity activities throughout the year. the Trustees have
continued to reference the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
In June 2024, The Trust exhibited at its second Blackbushe Air Day with a larger presence than
2023. Over 20 Volunteers spent the day showcasing our progress on Vagabond, fundraising
and pulling the winning tickets from our very popular raff lel Rolls Royce also lent us three
engines to disploy,. o Bristol Hercules. a Rolls Royce Dart and an Armstrong Siddeley Mambo.
In June we were able to take o huge step forward to recreating the cockpit by purchasing 75%
of the original instruments from &AGRW.
This year our volunteers hove been working hard on ensuring our project is occessible for all.
We have been developing a Virtual Reality Experience for those unable to board the aircraft
We have also been using a trial system called Navilens which is an enhanced QR code which
can assist partially sighted visitors in experiencing the project. The QR code directs to a video
introducing the Vagabond, its history and audio describing what is before of the user.
The tech team have been hard at work in all weathers stripping old paint from the aircraft. Work
continued on the windows, preparing the undercarriage bay and painting the cockpit surround.
The Team have designed a 3D printed jig which is being used to ensure holes are drilled in the
correct place for the main spar repair.
The nose cone was away for a few weeks in Chester for painting which was kindly donated to
us.
We have secured engineering partnerships with professional engineering organisations. Their
apprentices have been hard at work renovating the aircraft horizontal stabilisers and landing
gear.
Fundraising efforts have continued this year with partnerships with the Hart lottery.
merchandise sales and attendance at a program of events throughout the year.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
It is the policy of the Team to maintain the general unrestricted funds at a level to provide
sufficient reserves to meet the future onticipated demands on the charities resources.
Having regard to the likely levels of incoming resources ond direct charitable expenditure, the
Trustees are satisfied that the funds held at 31st March 2025 as reflected in the balance sheet
are available and odequate for the Trustees to fulfil the obligations of the Charity and maintain
its operations.
