Procedures for the authorisation of all transactions OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES The charity's principle objectives ore to form a museum to display and preserve the richly varied history and heritage of Blackbushe Airport. The Trust has recovered and will restore the aircraft Vickers Viking G-AGRW for the public benefit and present the aircraft as a focal point of the future museum. This aircraft (and many others of its type based at Blackbushe) helped develop the early years of air passenger transport. To carry out this primary project, the trust has established a workshop from which it will promote, teach and train people from all age groups, therefore helping to continue the relevant heritage training skills for future generations. Fundraising octivities hove consisted of ottendonce at vorious aviation fairs and events with our charity stand. We have held a programme of information talks at the Pathfinder Café throughout the year os well as selling our merchondise ot our on site shop ond temporory History Hub. We have also held 2 successful raffles and several quiz nights. Since her arrival in May 2023, our Engineering team made up of Trustees and a dedicated group of volunteers have begun a comprehensive programme of restoration. In planning and carrying out all charity activities throughout the year, the Trustees have continued to reference the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit. cK8 ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE The first major ochievement of the chority was to successfully repatriate G-AGRW 950 miles from Bad Voslau, Austria to Blackbushe Airport on the 2, May 2023. This memorable arrival was the conclusion of a huge effort over a two week period by a small team of volunteers and professionals. The aircraft was met by many members of the public, aviation enthusiasts, BBC news and charity volunteers. The aircraft is housed in the new Heritage Hangar, thanks to Blackbushe Airport and prepared with the help of our volunteers. On the 21$1 October 2023, The Blockbushe Heritage Trust was awarded 'Group of the Year. by Aviation Heritage UK. The constantly expanding Engineering Team have made great progress on the aircraft restoration including paint stripping and reapplication to the front section in time for the Blackbushe Air Day in June 2024. Scaffolding that was loaned to us and purpose built trestles have allowed the team to successfully carry out these tasks. A partnership with o large aerospace company has allowed us to remove and send the oircroft undercarriage to them for restoration as part of their apprenticeship training scheme. FINANCIAL REVIEW It is the policy of the T8am to maintain the gengral unrestricted funds at a18vel to provide sufficient reserves to meet the future anticipated demands on the charities resources. Having regard to the likely levels of incoming resources and direct charitable expenditure, the Trustees are satisfied that the funds held at 31st March 2024 as reflected in the balance shegt are available and adequate for the Trustees to fulfil the obligations of the Charity and maintain its operations.
