Report of the trustees

For the year ended 31st December 2024

The trustees present their report and accounts for the 12 month period ended 31 December 2024.

Reference and administration information is set out on page 2 and forms part of this report. Accounts have been prepared on a receipts and payments basis, using the Charity Commission reporting template in line with statutory requirements and the Statement of Recommended Practice.

Objectives and activities;

The Myne London Foundations purpose as set out in its constitution is;

The advancement of education for individuals experiencing poverty and financial hardship through the provision of financial assistance to registered primary schools, secondary schools and individuals in Pakistan.

The main activities undertaken in the reporting period were to establish an agreement with The Malala Fund to be a partner to deliver work in Pakistan. The trustees have abided by the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit.

Achievements and performance

In 2024 the trustees finalised an agreement with The Malala Fund and on 1st May 2024 signed a Charitable Gift and Sales Promotion Commercial Co-Venture Agreement. This agreement, with Myne London Ltd agreed The Myne London Foundation would make an initial gift of $10,000 to The Malala Fund to support the furtherance of their charitable purposes in Pakistan. This document also initiated a charitable sales promotion whereby Myne London Ltd would donate 10% from all sales of their Star Power Emerald Earrings to The Malala Fund from 1st May 2024 - 30th April 2025.

Financial review

In 2024 Trustees were able to make a grant of $10,000 to the Malala Fund to support their work in Pakistan.

There was minimal fundraising activity during the year and expected sales from a Jewelry partnership did not materialise.

To continue as a going concern the trustees recognise that alternative sources of income for the CIO including additional fundraising will be required. The trustees are considering broadening their charitable objects to geographical locations beyond Pakistan and to increase their focus on supporting girls and women.

Structure, governance and management

The Myne London Foundation is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) governed by a Constitution dated 10 February 2022.

The terms of appointment of the first charity trustees were staggered to ensure continuity. Apart from the first charity trustees, every trustee must be appointed for a term of three years by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the charity trustees. In considering the appointment of new trustees, the charity trustees must consider the skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effective administration of the CIO.

Myne London Ltd. may appoint one charity trustee.
