## _Charity Commission Helpline_ 

- Our Mr. Saad Karim, Trustee, called the charity commission helpline on 30 October 2023 at 16:11hrs on a call which lasted 38 minutes. 

- During this call, Mr. Karim spoke to a Mr. Joe, from the Charity Commission. 

- Mr. Karim explained to Mr. Joe that the Charity has recently been set up and has not yet traded. Mr. Karim explained that there was a backlog in setting up a Charity Bank Account, and that the charity was finding its feet during this period before it began trading. As a result, there has been nil trading activity for the charity and the accounts are Zero, as per the Annual Return filed. 

- Mr. Joe advised Mr. Karim to file a word document to this effect, stating that the charity has not traded, and the accounts are zero, and this will act in effect as the Charity’s Trustee Annual Report and Accounts for the period. Mr. Joe confirmed that this will need to be signed by each Trustee, and electronic signatures suffice. 

- Mr. Karim urged Mr. Joe to contact the Charity forthwith if there are any issues with the filing of these accounts so that we may rectify any issues immediately to avoid any disciplinary action taken against us. 

- Mr. Karim advised Mr. Joe that as the charity has not traded, it has resulted in filing the Annual Returns, Trustee Annual Report, and Accounts itself, with the limited experience and knowledge it has, to avoid the payment of unnecessary accountancy fees, however going forward, as the Charity becomes active, there will be an accountant retained for such filing in the future. 

- Mr. Karim filed similar _nil_ accounts for the previous accounting year as the charity has recently been set up. This was successful accepted by the charity commission. As the charity as still not traded during this current financial year, the accounts filed for the charity as per the annual return is _nil_ . 

- Since then, the charity has accepted donations and begun trading. Our next period’s accounts and returns shall be filed by our accountant accordingly. 

## _Trustee Annual Report and Accounts_ 

- The Charity Trustees confirm that for the period of these accounts, the Charity has not traded, and has not had any expenses, as it was in the process of setting up its campaigns and policies in order to start. 

- The charity has had approximately 5 volunteers, including the trustees, who have assisted the charity in drafting policies, preparing campaigns and spreading word of mouth in the community. 



- The Charity Trustees confirm that during this period, the Charity has only recently opened its Bank Account with Lloyds Bank Plc as the bank had technical difficutlies on its online portal which didn’t allow the documents to be viewed and signed and therefore there was a delay until the bank account and applications had to be opened physically in person at the branch. 

- The Charity Trustees confirm that their details on the Charity Commission website remain up to date. 

- The Charity Trustees confirm that for this period, their Annual Return has been filed to the best of their knowledge and ability, reflecting zero trading and expenses accordingly. 

## _Accountant_ 

- The Charity Trustees confirm that they have now appointed the following accountants who will be responsible for the filing and management of the Charity Accounts going forward:
