In 2022/23 we achieved charitable status; this allowed us to be eligible for donations from local business. This has increased our funds significantly, we have joined parentkind to help us run and govern the organization and put in place trustees and governance to manage the charity. We have used these increased funds to support the school in their efforts to improve outdoor play and community engagement providing resources which both benefit the school and local community. Example events and activities included a Christmas Family Fun Night including both parents, carer and children form the school and the local community. We also supported the school with funds to implement recommendations from Opal Play research, provided funds to run a reading club and paid for extracurricular trips for the school children to local sights. |
