I am pleased to present the Trustees' Annual Report for Allscott Sports Club Ltd for the fiscal year ending 30[th] April 2023. As trustees, our primary responsibility is to ensure the effective governance and management of the club, and we are pleased to report on the progress and achievements over the past year.
## **Financial Overview**
Income and expenditure were extremely high for this year due to the fact a new £2,800,000 club house is being built as part of a major housing project on the site where our old club house stood, this will be demolished. The new club house will be completed in December 2023. Total grant funding for the project is made up of grants totalling £625,000 in total, namely £150,000 from Sport England and £475,000 from Football Foundation. The remaining balance of £2,175,000 was a contribution from the landowners, British Sugar PLC. Once the project completes, there will be circa £25,000 in the clubs’ funds but we have gained a huge and valuable asset. During the year, we have successfully maintained a balanced budget, allowing us to continue investing in the facilities and programs that benefit our members and the community at large. ## **Membership and Community Engagement**
We are delighted to report a steady increase in membership numbers over the past year, with twenty-one new members joining our community which we felt was a good achievement after Covid decimated some of our sports. This growth is a testament to the appeal of Allscott Sports Club Ltd and the positive impact it has on the local community. We have actively engaged with our members through various events, programs, and feedback sessions to ensure that the club continues to meet the needs and expectations of its diverse membership base.
## **Facility Upgrades and Maintenance**
In line with our commitment to providing top-notch facilities, we have invested in several upgrades and maintenance projects throughout the year. These include, as stated above as part of the new club house development, a brand new two storey clubhouse comprising of ground floor, four changing rooms, two officials changing rooms and toilets (both to Sport England standards), cellar, plant rooms, storeroom, office, lift and small kitchen. First floor comprises of toilets, lift, bar and function room all of which have contributed to enhancing the overall experience for our members and visitors. We are grateful for the ongoing support of our sponsors and partners, whose contributions have been instrumental in these improvements.
## **Community Outreach and Partnerships**
Allscott Sports Club Ltd continues to play a vital role in the local community. We have actively participated in community outreach programs, including junior cricket coaching with qualified coaches, taster sessions for people interested in learning crown greens bowls, football coaching at all levels from under-8’s to seniors, all genders & ethnicities, aimed at fostering a sense of unity and well-being. Additionally, we have forged valuable partnerships with local businesses, schools, and community organizations to strengthen our ties and promote the holistic development of the area.
## **Governance and Risk Management**
The Board of Trustees has diligently overseen the governance and risk management processes to ensure the club's long-term sustainability. We have reviewed and updated our policies and procedures to align with best practices, and regular risk assessments have been conducted to identify and mitigate potential challenges. The club remains committed to transparency, accountability, and compliance with all relevant regulations.
## **Looking Ahead**
As we look ahead, our focus remains on the continued growth and success of Allscott Sports Club Ltd. We are exploring new opportunities for expansion, collaboration, and improvement to better serve our members and the community. We appreciate the ongoing support and dedication of our members, volunteers, staff, and stakeholders in making Allscott Sports Club Ltd a thriving hub of sporting and community activities.

||I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above
charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 30thApril 2023.
As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011
(“the Act”).|
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
**Independent** I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have **examiner's statement** come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or
- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
