## **Objectives and Activities** 

Theatre Space North East CIO (TSNE CIO) exists to advance dramatic arts for the public benefit through the provision of accessible live performance, including, but not limited to: theatre, plays, reading, mine and movement, dance, music, storytelling and puppetry. Furthermore, to advance the education of the public in the arts by the provision of theatre-in-education and accessible drama and arts education; teaching and mentorship and all ancillary activities. 

TSNE CIO Trustees have considered the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit, and have discussed the way our charity will operate in light of this guidance. 

## **Performance** 

2023 was a challenging year for TSNE CIO, as Trustees resigned from their posts leaving us below our threshold of Trustees according to our constitution. Trustees are working on recruitment from the current number (4) to the threshold number (6) which will mean that normal activity can resume. 

We have been working on opening a bank account but as yet do not have a bank account, and so have not been able to operate the business of the Charity. No activity has yet taken place aside from meetings of the trustees. 

## **Financial Review** 

The charity has not yet opened a bank account, though this is in progress. The charity has received 0 funds and has spent 0 funds. The charity has 0 reserves. 

## **Structure, Governance and Management** 

TSNE CIO is governed by its Constitution and is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). Trustees are appointed according to the rules set out in the charity’s governing document.
