WOMEN 4 WOMEN EMPOWERMENT ANNUAL REPOR (2024/2025).
Introduction
Welcome to Women 4 Women Empowerment (W4WE)’s Annual Report.
Women 4 Women Empowerment (W4WE) is a charity dedicated to improving women’s mental wellbeing and actively campaigning against hygiene poverty in Southwark. We believe that access to essential hygiene products is a basic human right, not a luxury. Our charity supports women on low incomes, those who are unemployed, and people experiencing homelessness within the Southwark community, particularly from Black and Ethnic Minority backgrounds.
Statistics show that over nine million people in the UK are currently living in hygiene poverty. The rising cost of living has forced many low-income individuals to neglect their personal hygiene needs. At W4WE, we stand firm in our belief that no one should face stigma, exclusion, or segregation because of poor hygiene. We are committed to restoring dignity, promoting wellbeing, and empowering women to live with confidence and self-respect.
Message from the Chair of Trustees
At W4WE, we believe that collaboration and partnership are key to achieving meaningful impact for our beneficiaries. Building strong partnerships not only sustains our projects but also strengthens our ability to maintain ongoing activities within the community. Our charity secured valuable partnerships with Beauty Banks, Goods for Good, Community Southwark, and Prince of Peace Ministry. The generous donation we received from Beauty Banks during the year 2024 was equivalent to £5,000.00 as reflected in our Receipt and Payment Account under the Donations Section, which was instrumental in supporting our hygiene project. Both Beauty Banks and Goods for Good have been among our strongest supporters, consistently providing products and essential women’s items that enable us to freely distribute hygiene supplies to our beneficiaries (see photos at page3).
On behalf of W4WE, I would like to express our sincere appreciation to Beauty Banks and Goods for Good for their continued generosity and partnership. We look forward to building on these relationships for the benefit and well-being of the communities we serve.

Our Vision
Our vision is a Southwark where every woman lives with dignity and has access to adequate hygiene, and where women are empowered to lead and participate in community development towards social and economic independence.
Our Mission
Our mission is to uplift and empower women in Southwark by providing access to essential hygiene products, clothing, and social support services. We strive to restore dignity, promote well-being, and create pathways toward long-term sustainability.
Our Impact
Through our initiatives, W4WE distributes free toiletries, cosmetics, sanitary towels, and other hygiene essentials to women in need. Since 2024, we have restored dignity to 1,986 women in Southwark. The ongoing cost-of-living crisis makes it increasingly difficult for women on low incomes to afford essential hygiene products. W4WE works closely with our beneficiaries and community partners to ensure women can maintain good hygiene and personal wellbeing. Please see screenshot of selection of appreciation emails from some of our beneficiaries.
Community Engagement
Below are some photos showcasing the distribution of hygiene products within the Southwark community, highlighting our ongoing engagement and support efforts.
