Para 1.20 | As the charity has been newly formed, no activity has been undertaken so far. However, much time since its inception, has been spent in getting a suitable charity account sorted, registration with Fund Raising Regulator, National Council of Voluntary organisations, and Just Giving, to name a few. Preliminary discussions have ensued regarding projects to be undertaken, with advisors and overseas organisations, and are ongoing. This has included drafting of project protocols, budgeting, site selections, and outcome assessments. We are in the process of undertaking final assessments and seeking necessary approvals. |

However, the current financial climate and cost of living crisis, is expected to hamper its fund raising targets. |

Apart from the first charity trustees, every trustee must be appointed for a term of 3 years by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the charity trustees. Eligibility of trusteeship, as defined by the constitution, are as follows: (a) Every charity trustee must be a natural person. (c) No one is entitled to act as a charity trustee whether on appointment or on any re-appointment until he or she has expressly acknowledged, in whatever way the charity trustees decide, his or her acceptance of the office of charity trustee. (d) At least one of the trustees of the CIO must be 18 years of age or over. If there is no trustee aged at least 18 years, the remaining trustees may only act to call a meeting of the charity trustees, or appoint a new charity trustee. |
