## **Management** 

Holbeach Children’s club has no paid staff. It had 6 volunteers during the period in addition to the trustees. 

## **Year in review – activities, performance, and financial review** 

- During the year, Holbeach Children’s Club focused on trying to set up wrap around after school care at Ladywell Arena however was unable to recruit the appropriate staff in time. 

- In December 2023 it was decided to instead focus on specific out of school hours activity clubs with an initial focus on setting up a coding club. 

- Catford Coding Club was set up as the trading name of Holbeach Children’s Club with a new registered address at the St Laurence Centre, Catford. 

- A new brand and website were created, and along with social media, was used to advertise. Catford Coding Club merchandise was also created to promote the club and raise funds. 

- 6 additional coding volunteers were recruited, given enhanced DBS checks and given safeguarding training. 

- Funding was received from Tesco and BNY. 



- Computing equipment was purchased with a decision to focus on Raspberry Pi’s. 

- In February 2024, Catford Coding Club began its first half term classes at the St Laurence Centre, Catford to provide volunteer-led free and affordable coding classes on our own Raspberry Pi’s for local children aged 7 to 15 on Saturday mornings. The first term was a success with over 30 children attending classes.
