Trustees' Report on Activities for the Year
The trustees are pleased to present this report on the charity’s continued activities and ongoing commitment to our mission over the past year. Our work remains rooted in the values of compassion, service, and support for those in need. Much like the previous year, we have sustained our core initiatives through the faithful support of our donors, members, and volunteers. We remain steadfast in our mission to serve individuals in both spiritual and practical ways, in the name of Christ.
Outreach and Community Engagement
Throughout the year, the charity has continued its regular monthly outreach on the first Saturday of each month. This ongoing effort to connect with individuals and families in the
local community has remained a key part of our mission. Our volunteers have consistently gone out to share the message of Christ while offering practical help, maintaining the strong relationships we have built in the community.
Similar to the previous year, our focus during the winter months has been on supporting homeless individuals, particularly around Romford, Stratford, and Ilford stations. These areas have continued to be focal points for our street outreach, where we have provided warm meals, blankets, and other necessities. Our volunteers have shown unwavering dedication in carrying out these activities, ensuring that support reaches those most in need during the coldest months.
As before, our approach combines practical assistance with compassionate, spiritual support. These interactions continue to remind us of the importance of human connection, and we remain committed to being a consistent presence for the vulnerable and marginalized.
Support through Donations and Volunteer Contributions
Our ongoing work has once again been made possible by the generosity of our donors and the dedication of our volunteers. Just as in previous years, financial contributions have allowed us to purchase essential supplies and sustain our outreach programs. Volunteers have continued to play a crucial role, with 3–4 individuals typically taking part in outreach events, depending on availability.
We are encouraged by the continued spirit of giving and partnership within our community. Our volunteers remain the backbone of our operations, and their willingness to serve has been essential in keeping our efforts active and effective.
Venue and Services
Our regular Sunday services have continued to take place at The United Reformed Church Hall on Mill Lane, Chadwell Heath, Romford, RM6 6RS. These gatherings remain central to our spiritual outreach and community building. Held weekly from 9:00 am to 10:30 am, the services offer a welcoming space for worship, fellowship, and mutual encouragement.
The stability and consistency of our venue and service times have allowed us to maintain strong connections with those who attend, and we are grateful for the continued support of the church.
Challenges and Future Outlook
While our activities have remained largely consistent with previous years, the ongoing demand for our services presents continued challenges. We are mindful of the need to strengthen our resources—both human and financial—as we look to the future. Our aim remains to expand our reach and increase our impact in areas where support is most needed.
Looking ahead, we are committed to deepening our community engagement, welcoming new volunteers, and exploring additional opportunities to serve those facing hardship. The message of Christ remains our guiding light, and we are determined to continue offering hope and practical help to those in need.
