To a full house audience, key<br>topics for discussion included a call for brave<br>and disruptive thinking in the work of CRiC<br>and the academic journal, Sports Coaching<br>Review by Dr Bill Taylor; Professor Robyn<br>Jones presented a challenge for more<br>critical coaching research; a critical<br>examination of the Whyte Report was<br>provided by Dr Anna Stodter, Dr Melanie<br>Lang, Bobby Crutchley and Dr Alexandra<br>Consterdine; Dr Charles Corsby and Dr<br>Edward Hall hosted an interactive seminar<br>aimed at post graduate students and early<br>career academics to support the publication<br>of research in academic journals; Dr Don<br>Vinson hosted a conversation concerning<br>research proposals to encourage critical<br>feedback and collaborative working; and a<br>conversation on the impact and influence of<br>research on practice between Dr Laura<br>Gale, Professor Chris Cushion and Dr<br>Lauren Downham who demonstrated<br>opportunities for narrowing the researcher-<br>practitioner gap to assist in enhancing coach<br>practice.|
