THE PROMOTION OF RELIGIOUS HARMONY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC BY EDUCATING THE PUBLIC IN DIFFERENT RELIGIOUS BELIEFS INCLUDING AN AWARENESS OF THEIR DISTINCTIVE FEATURES AND THEIR COMMON GROUND TO PROMOTE GOOD RELATIONS BETWEEN PERSONS OF DIFFERENT FAITHS. The organisation provides a Centre for worship and Islamic education according to the teachings of Islam in a society having multiethnic, cultural and cross-religious backgrounds. With the provision of Islamic teachings, religious harmony among all segments of society is created.

Further, We have a motto to bring peace and harmony among all faiths as we have explained in our objective. Furthermore, We are providing education and information to general mankind about the true spirit of Islam and its role in bringing all the communities close to each other.

Section D Achievements and performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

The charity started its operations one year ago and is developing its network. We have arranged a building to provide a place for worship to the community. We are also providing Islamic education to the people to make them aware of the teachings of Islam. We are in the process of acquiring a building on lease for the long-term period to provide facilities of worship and Islamic Education.

TRUSTEES HAVE REVIEWED THE MARKAZ AL-RAHMA’S NEED FOR RESERVES IN LINE WITH THE GUIDANCE, ISSUED BY THE CHARITY COMMISSION. THE TRUSTEES BELIEVE THAT THE CHARITY SHOULD HAVE A MINIMUM LEVEL OF RESERVES EQUAL TO 6 MONTHS OF OPERATIONAL COSTS OF THE CHARITY.
