WHO WE ARE
OUR MISSION
STATEMENT
The Ministry Area of Cynon Valley
South (Registered Charty No: 11984111 is
part o* the Anglican Diocese of
Llandaf f serving communities in
Aberaman & Cwmaman, Abercynon,
Cwmbach, Mountain Ash and
Penhiwceiber. Matthewstown &
Ynysboeth.
It was officially formed in January 2022
by merging five former pariches. The
Cynon Valley South Ministry Area is
made up of six individual churches- St
Margaret of Antioch in Aberaman. St
Donats and St Gwynnos in Abercynory
st Mary Magdalene in Cwmbach, St
Margaret of Scotland in Mountain Ash
and St Winifred's. Penhiweiber.
Each church has its own identity and
culture. but we are committed to
growing God's kingdom through
mutual support and the sharing of
resources.
2024 was a year of challenge and
change. but we were very blessed to
welcome Fr Philip Ley8h¢)n to join our
clergy team.
We are indebted to everyone who has
worked so hard to ensure that the
church continues to thrive in this part
o+ God's Kingdom.

to follow procedure5 laid down in the General Direction5 given by the Charitv

My examlnation was carried out in accordance with the General Dlrections glven by the Charity
Comrnissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the Parochial
Church Council and a romparison of the account5 presented with those records. It also Include5
consideration of any unusual items or di5c105ures in the accounts and seeking explanations from
vou as Paroihial Church Councll members concernlng any such matters. The procedure5
undertaken do not provide all the evldence that would be requlred In an audit opinion and
consequently no opinionls given as to whether the accounts present a 'lrue and fair view, and the
report Is limited to those matters set out in the Statement below.
