Women will engage in a variety<br>of activities aimed at personal growth and<br>recovery. This phase takes place over a<br>five-day week, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, at<br>a rehabilitation  centre. Activities  included<br>counselling, educational sessions, and in-<br>house skill-building exercises  to  foster<br>mental well-being and resilience.<br>**Phase  2: Vocational Training and Job**<br>**Readiness**<br>Once women had  made  progress in the|





|||first phase, the focus shifts to vocational<br>training. Based on individual assessments<br>of  each  woman's  talents  and  skills,  this<br>phase is tailored to equip them with the<br>necessary knowledge and abilities to<br>pursue gainful employment.|

The<br>women in the programme ranged in age<br>from  26  to  32  years,  with  72%  of  them<br>having one or more child.<br>Initially, 85% of the women were struggling<br>with addiction to alcohol, chat (a stimulant),<br>and cigarettes. After six months of<br>intensive therapy, this percentage<br>significantly decreased to 30%. The<br>reduction in addiction rates not only<br>improved the lives of the women<br>themselves  but  also  positively  impacted<br>their children and families.<br>The first phase of the rehabilitation<br>program concluded with 10 women moving<br>to vocational training/ job placement and, 2<br>women  successfully  reunited  with  their<br>families. 3 women dropped out. Among the<br>10 women, 2 successfully secured direct<br>employment  with  Parker  Clay,  a  leather|





company, marking a positive step forward and 8 were enrolled in vocational training as of October 2024. This phase of the program demonstrated both  the  challenges  and  success  of  the rehabilitation journey, highlighting the critical need for continued support to ensure long-term recovery. Moving forward, Ellilta will focus on providing sustained assistance to the women who have successfully transitioned into employment, while also reaching out to those  who  dropped  out  or  returned  to prostitution to offer them further guidance and support. The ultimate goal is to equip all participants with the tools and resources necessary  to  build  a  stable  and  fulfilling future, free from the hardships of their past.
