Myanmar Proclamation Ministries

Objects and Aims

The Object of Myanmar Proclamation Ministries is, for the public benefit, to advance the Christian faith in such ways as the Charity Trustees may from time to time decide.

As a charity we seek to share the gospel with the country of Myanmar in 3 key ways

This support is provided by monthly online training sessions, weekly mentoring and one annual visit by at least one of the Trustees to provide training and teaching as well as to ensure financial support is used in line with the objects and aims of the charity.

Update

1, Trinity college

It has been a good year at Trinity. The new college building is complete, and students moved in for this academic year. There are 48 students who are all enjoying college life and learning well. The civil war has caused stress and worry amongst the students now that conscription law has commenced. The faculty has now grown to 6 staff and they will be looking to recruit more staff as student numbers increase. Next year the plan is to build a dormitory next door to the college building.

2, Pastor Training

We were unable to hold our conference in Myanmar this year but we were able to host a leadership training conference in Thailand and invite our partner pastors and staff from Trinity college to this event. Jesse Cope led this training week and it was good to be able to meet in person for the first time since lockdown.

We have continued to increase our local church teaching and provided online teaching at our partner churches weekend training conferences.

Jesse Cope has continued to meet online with pastors in the network to mentor and provide leadership training.

3, Church plants

The 2 new church plants from last year have continued to flourish and we hope to plant a third church next year. We continue to partner with our 12 other church plants across Yangon and further north in Myanmar.
