## **CRICH BAPTIST CHURCH CIO ANNUAL TRUSTEES’ REPORT** 

## **MARCH 23[RD] 2022 – DECEMBER 31[ST] 2022** 

Crich  Baptist  Church  CIO  was  registered  with  the  Charity Commission on March 23[rd] 2022. It was created to receive the assets, bank accounts and paid employee liability from ‘Crich Baptist Church’, an unregistered and unincorporated charity. 

The process to transfer these assets was complex owing to the fact that the various properties were held in trust by the East Midlands Baptist Trust Company. The transfer involved a legal process which took over a year to complete. On taking legal advice,  it  was  decided  to  await  the  date of the transfer  of properties to the CIO before transferring bank accounts and employee liabilities. 

Consequently,  during  the  accounting  period  of  this  Annual Report,  the  CIO  itself  was  inactive,  awaiting  the  transfer  of assets, which eventually took place on April 3rd 2023. 

There is, therefore, no detailed Annual Report which can be made until the next accounting period.
