## **Additional governance issues**

- **Trustee conflicts of** • In the current period, the trustees board decided to make payments to one of our pastors, Marcelle Leake, who is a trustee. As stated in

- **interest policy and procedures.** our ‘Trustee Conflict of Interest Policy and Procedures’, this can be considered a conflict of interest and for this reason the actions in this regard are being fully disclosed here and in the financial accounts, under the ‘Trustee Stipend Account’. The decision process to help our pastor, specifically Marcelle, with her cost of living was done without the participation of the trustee who started receiving the payments, and was done by the majority of the trustees in the board. Marcelle is providing part time pastoral services that were judged to be beneficial to the advancement of the charity’s purposes and objects. It has been documented in the meeting minutes dated and signed on 25/09/2022.

- •

- **Policy and procedures on** Communal weekly meals are served free of charge at the end of **communal meals, with the** each service, for which strict hygiene procedures take place, as for **consideration for the major** the cleanliness of the kitchen and utensils. Also, careful attention is **risks it could pose.** given to the food expiry date and storage. Careful attention is given to any possible allergens food may contain, making it clearly known to the service participants.

## **Section C Objectives and activities**

**Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document.**

The advancement of religion, specifically the promotion of the Christian faith and its public benefit to the community.

- Advancement of religion, specifically the Christian faith: All along the period (01 October 2022 to 30 September), we continued to have our weekly services at the charity registered address, teaching, speaking and living the Christian faith. This has been done through spiritual and social work.

**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects.**

- Weekly services were focused on Christian teaching, worship and brotherly communion, which has had a beneficial impact on every participant, giving the sense of being part of a family and strengthening relationships.

- • Communal weekly meals have continued to be served at the end of each service, free of charge, so that any hungry person or anyone with a poor diet due to financial constraints could had a healthy and nutritious meal.

also have been able to help more people to cope with the pressures posed by the overwhelming increase in the cost of life in London, either with housing, medical or food costs. This has been done after close analysis of the personal circumstances of the person in need.

- Charitable events have been carried out with the objective of attracting, connecting and spreading the Christian message to more people, as well as strengthening relationships.

- The principles on which Life with Life Church operates have been preserved and focused on, with relationships having a central place, which continues to help people to deal with daily recurrent problems, as loneliness, depression, anxiety, other than financial and spiritual needs.

- For all the asserted above we, trustees, can confirm that we have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission as for the public benefit, which have been available to the public in general.
