Para 1.20 | Provision of support services and advice to kinship carers. We hold monthly support meetings attended mostly by kinship carers, creating an environment where attendees can meet others in similar circumstances, share experiences and get peer support and advice. We also have campaigning points that we lobby policy makers and influencers on. In the period we lobbied the Lord Chancellor on the reporting restriction regulations rules. As members of the Kinship Care Alliance (KCA), we attend regular meetings with policy makers and influencers, including DfE; in March 2025 we were asked to address Janet Daby, the Children’s Minister. |
