constitution. which is registered with the Charity Commission. A copy of the constitution is available
on request.
Recrultment and appolntment of new trustees
New trustees are invited to apply when a vacancy arises, and this is advertised to our supporters as
well as on volunteer websites. Following application. a series of meetings takes place to ascertaill if
the applicant and charity are suited to work together and then a vote is taken by the trustees to
confimi the appointment.

Risk management
Risks are highlighted and managed within the context of trustee meetings. The charity will if
required take out the appropriate insurance needed to cover risks it may face in the f uture. At
present based on the current activities there is no insurance required.
OBJEcfivES AND ACHIEVEMENTS
Objective and airn&
Our mission is the prevention or relief of poverty amongst people in the UK and India by providin8
grants and services to individuals in need and/or charities. or other organisations working to prevent
or relieve poverty in particular, but not excluslvely by-
Donation of food supplies to existin8 organisations
Providing financial assistance for the relief of food poverty
Supporting feedlng and nutritional pro8rammes
Providing or assisting in the provision of projerts to improve urban and rural sanltatlon.
Sl8nlfl¢ant a¢tlvltles
During the year, the day-to-day activities of the charity were managed by the trustees.
Charltable aetlvltles
It ha$ beèn 8 busy18St 12 months. and the found8tion hes continued to flnd opportunities to
5UPPOrt org8nis8tions In the UK as well as expandin8 our school improvement project in
Raj8Sthan, Indi8 where we hope to replicate in other schools over the coming year8.
UK
The cost-of-llving crlsls continues to present many issues for a large part of the popu18tion on
lower incomes and this wlll contlnue to be the case for the foreseeable future.
Our main go81 is the provision of nutritionalfood for those most in need rather than th8
emergencyfood p8rcel model provided by somefood banks and this heavily influences which
organisations we have become involved with.
Thefollowing is 8 summary of ourworkoverthe lastyear:

CHILDHOODTRUST
Throughthe wnter match funded Big Giv9 campaign we Identified a numberoforganisations
that were helping feed children across London and we donated to the followingthree cause5:
Springcommunlty Hub
h.ttp&..l/www.cschub.CfLuk
Magic Breakfast
https'llwww.mawctsteakla
Dai8arnoTrust
FOOD BANKAID
We have madefinancial and food donationsto FBA,who supply nutritionalfood and e8S8nt181
supplles to an 6v6r-Increasing number olfood banks across North London. They spend tlmeto
understand the nutrition81 needs of the varied cultural requlrements of those they supply to.
A great org8nlsation that started during lockdown and has contlnued to &XP8nd bts reach.
FEAST WITH US
Having seen thls organisation, we decided to get flrst-hand experience of how they operate 8nd
spent a mornlng cooking at one of the hostels they provide meals to. Being able to talk dlrectly
wlth the staff and understand the difficulties they faced we organlsed 6 months, worth of staple
Ingredient$ to be $prè8d across all their kitchens in North London so thls will ensur8 thèy are
conf Identthey c8n d6liver th8 meals thet they need to.
MADE IN HACKNEY
A donation was madeto this local communitylood kitchen providing healthy mè813 and
cooking classes to many In the area as well as delivering to those struggling to feed thomselves.
Once again. we were fortunateto spend 8 day helping prepare meals in theircommunity
kitchen.
LOCAL COMMUNrrY PANTRY & TRUSSELL TRUST EGGS
With rnost food pantries an(J food banks struggling to have access to fresh egg5 we were able to
deliver a signiticant number of eggs to two organisations. A seemingly small offering but very
gratefully received as it IS 8 commodity that they very rarely recelve.

We travelled to Indiato seetheworkthatCAF India INowOneStagel are doing on our behalf
and itwas rewardingto See thetoilet blockhad been completed and thatthe RASM (Rightto
Access Sustainable Menstruation) program was up and running and the girls, and boys, in the
school had embraced the opportunitytofind out more about this hugelytaboo subject. We $8W
first-hand the project leader in discussions with the girls and she was very impressive 8nd
obviously a huge part of its Successful implementation.
Gettingthe supportfrom One Stage andtrustingthe worf(they are doing on ourbehalfwasvery
important and enabled us to do the toilet and incinerator project at the school in Ajmer.
Rajasthan confident that all donations were 8ccount8d for.
The school is also wherewe are supportingthe schoolsfeedingimid-dayme81 program through
Akshaya Patra. and we were abl6 to Sample the nutritional food that the school children receive
every day. We hgve renewed ourcontributionsto the feedingprogram yet again thisyear.
ESTABLISHMENTOFTHE SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
On our vlslt there In February we were 8hovm 98ver81 oth8r schools in th8 are8 where the tollet
and washingf8cllftles were shockingly bad an(J our ultimate intention would be to investig8te
fe88ibility and costs of doing a slmiL8r prolect at some ol these Schools.
We are looklng Into possibility of precast toilets that could easily be'dropped In. to these 8re8S
maklngthings much quicker and. hopefully. making eleaninFJmaintenancè a loteasier. We are
actively 38eklng quotatSons for these.
We have also spoken wlth Akshaya Patra regarding theii Beyond Meals progr8m 8nd how we
may be able to cooperate a8 they too look to improv8 school conditions both on sanitation and
educational grounds.
POND REJUVENATION
Whilst in Delhi we visited one of CAF India's Pond Rejuvenation projects with the 8im of
possibly funding one ourselves, particularly rf we coul(J find third parties to come on board or
find local corporate5 Out theie to co-fund.
The keyto success with rural projects appe8rsto be onboardingthe local community, from
vIILage leaderslelders to youth leade1$, and without their involvement it would be impossible to
achleve much. They had a fantastic yOLrth leader who is totally on board antl proactive in
ensuring the proposod changes are Implemented successfully and steps are in pl8ce to ensure
their longevity.
We are in discussions regardingthe foasibility of one project and await full specitications and
costs before we move ahead.

YEAR AHEAD
We shall continue to seek out opportunities In the UKto help organisatlons involved in food
poverty an(J food insecurty.
MONTHLY DONATION PROGRAM UK
We will be lookingto establish a monthly donation progr8m that sm811er organisations can
apply for in order to get assistance.
GLEANING UK
We remaln keen on involvement in gleaning proj8Cts in the UKto help reduce the enormous
amount of wasted frult and vegetables thet could, and should, be rescued to provide food
banks with additional produce.
INDIA
There are plenty of opportunities in India but. of course. these wlll reply on us flndlng thlrd paty
donors in UK and India in ordorto tske these on. We are very keen to expand the School
Improvement Program and hopefullywillf ind a model easily replicated in other schools.
Lik8wise, Pond Rejuvenation is something th8 loundation would very much like to be involved
with but, especially as thi8 requires bi8ger levels of funding, will most certainly requlre
involvement from other corporates and we are 8ctNely lookin8tO 88tabli8h those relatlonship8.
