**Objects:** (1) THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE:(A) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN EAST ANGLIA (THE “AREA OF BENEFIT”) INCLUDING BUT WITHOUT LIMITATION BY THE PROVISION AND ASSISTANCE IN THE PROVISION OF GRANTS AND PROGRAMMES TO SUPPORT SCHOOLS, COLLEGES, EDUCATIONAL SETTINGS AND CHARITIES TO BENEFIT CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE UP TO THE AGE OF 25 INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THOSE FROM VULNERABLE AND DISADVANTAGED BACKGROUNDS; AND(B) TO ACT AS A RESOURCE FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE UP TO THE AGE OF 25 WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT, BY PROVIDING ASSISTANCE AND ORGANISING PROGRAMMES, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY TO BROADEN THEIR SOCIAL AND CULTURAL EXPERIENCES, AS A MEANS OF ADVANCING IN LIFE AND HELPING CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE BY DEVELOPING THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES, EXPECTATIONS AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS INDEPENDENT, MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS AND TO IMPROVE THEIR CHANCES OF ACCESSING A WIDE RANGE OF CAREERS.

**Activities:** The East Anglian Education Trust CIO forms strategic partnerships with national and regional organisations to develop and deliver programmes to partner schools and communities in our area of benefit. Its strategy is to raise educational standards of school aged children in the area, thereby creating fairer access to better paid and skilled employment in the hi-tech big businesses in the region.
