families this year, by mainly arranging the
foster care of their pets. In nearly all cases
those animals are reunited with their
owners once they have secured their own
safety. On occasion, the charity has
supported those who cannot be separated
from their pets by offering advice, support

reach safety.
By doing this work, those survivors of
domestic abuse have been able to seek
safety and escape their abuse. Had we not
supported them, those people may have
stayed with or returned to their situations of
abuse.
We have provided certainty to our service
users, and reassurance that their pets are
safe, such that they have not had their
situations worsened by the stress of their
