benefit: a) To advance the education of individuals with special educational needs and disabilities, in particular though not exclusively at Brent Knoll School and Watergate School, by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education (additional to those provided by the Local Education Authority); and b) To advance in life and relieve the needs of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities living in Lewisham and the surrounding areas, in particular through: i. Providing recreational activities and opportunities for such children and young people to develop skills and independence: ii. Providing parents and carers of such children and young people with support, advice and information to make informed decisions on the best care for their child or children; iii. Preventing or relieving poverty among such children and young people, in particular by providing or assisting in the provision of housing, |
