The promotion of social inclusion among veterans to prevent them from becoming socially excluded and to help integrate into society 2. The relief of physical and mental sickness in particular but not exclusively by the provision of counselling, health and wellbeing support. 3. The relief of poverty in particular but not exclusively by the provision of housing support and debt advice. 4. The advancement of education, in particular but not exclusively, **TAR** March **2012** 2 by the means of vocational training courses to enhance job and training opportunities To help, signpost and offer support to veterans and their families in the following Counselling, family support, housing, debt advice, education, help and well- being support, Bee keeping, Gardening. We also combat isolation via organised events, day trips and weekly breakfast clubs. We are also going through training as a Hate Crime Reporting Center. **Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)** ## **Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)** Courses held by the VCFA in trustee responsibilities. grant funding, business planning You **may choose** to include further statements, where relevant, about: - policy on grantmaking; - policy programme related investment; - contribution made by volunteers. **TAR** March **2012** 3 Section D Achievements and performance **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** Our achievements and performance this year has been impaired due to a current court case awaiting to go to trial. This has had an impact on fundraising and being able to fund events. The trustees are supporting the growth of the charity and working with fundraisers and community groups to further the growth of the charity together with professional bodies i.e. Bury council. We have managed a Christmas party for the veterans, family and community, and are looking forward to holding a large Armed Forces Day in Bury this year. We have supported veterans in housing, food parcels, and signposted veterans for professional counselling.
