To promote for the benefit of veterans of all branches of the Armed Forces and their families living in Bury by:-

1. The promotion of social inclusion among veterans to prevent them from becoming socially excluded and to help integrate into society 

2. The relief of physical and mental sickness in particular but not exclusively by the provision of counselling, health and wellbeing support. 

3. The relief of poverty in particular but not exclusively by the provision of housing support and debt advice.

4. The advancement of education, in particular but not exclusively, by the means of vocational training courses to enhance job and training opportunities 

The benefit to the public is helping under veterans fitting into civilian life and settle into the community. Running community/veterans breakfast clubs has proved successful to both attendees. 

We also hold a yearly Armed Forces Day Event for the public to attend, this is a family event which they all enjoy.

The charity currently has not got a “Charity Reserve policy” due to it being a voluntary organisation, discussions with trustees have taken place regarding this, and a verbal suggestion if paid staff are employed, a minimum of three month to five months

All funding is from funding grants applied for from different registered funding organisations/charities, which evidences receipts/feedback is sent back to the organisation/charities by a pre notified date. 

These funds have provided outings, camping weekends, food parcels when needed for veterans and their families. 

- how expenditure has supported the key objectives of the charity; 

- investment policy and objectives including any ethical investment policy adopted.

The trustees are aware of a fraud for £17,500 that took place shortly after the end of the period covered by the accounts. This has been reported to the Charity Commission, the affected funders and the relevant legal authorities.
