The charity is a Foundation CIO Icharitsble Incorporated lknanlsationl that was
set up to take over the assets and artivlties of Uninc￿p0r3ted charity number
1053000, also called Durrington Community Churth and establlshed in 19%.
The CIO was registered with the Charlty Commlssion on 3rd March 2022 with
number 1198131.
The charity's principal objects are the advancement of the Christian religion
according to biblical principles and the relief of person5 vtho are in conditions of
need. hardshlp or distress. It operates in Durrin8ton and the Salisbury plain area
of Wiltshire.

benefit. They believe thatthe charity's objects, as Set out above, are wlthin the
definitlon of charFtable purposes in sertion 2 of the Art and that the charity's regular

Alms and pufpo
The trustees of Durrington Community Churth IDCCI have the responsibility of co-operatin8
with the DCC Leadership team in promotlno the whole mission of the churth, pastoral.
evangellstic, social and ecumenical.
The trustees are specifically responsible for the maintenance of the churth building of DCC.
ObJe¢tlves and •ctfvltles
The trustees of DCC are committed to the advancement of the Christian religion according to
biblical principles. This means enabling as many people as possible to worship at our churth
buildin8 and become part of our Cofnmunity. The trustee5 maintsin an overview of worship and
make suggestlons about how our seNces can involve the many8roups that live within the
community. Our Services and worship putfaith into practicethrough prayer and scripture,
music and sacramenl.
When planning our activities forthe year. Daniel lour paid youth leader), the church leaders
and the trustees try tu enable ordinary peopleto live outthelrfaith as part of our community
through:
- worship and prayer, learning about the gospel and developing thelr knowledge and trust
in Jesus,.
- provision of pastoral care for the relief of persons wlb) are in condStions of need, hardship
or distress,.
- missionary and outreach work.
To faalitate this work it is important that we maintsln thefabric ofthe l)CC buildlng.
Achlevements and performance
Since belng gifted a buildlng* DCC has increased its ability to look outwarth to servlng our
communlty more. DCC now holds a famlly thurth on Sunday afternoons once a month and
hosts the Community Choir In the week. We have Bible Holiday aubs for 5 to 11 year olds
(with secondary sthool age helpers) and a Sallsbury Food Bank collethon polnt.
The general wtxk of the thurch contlnue5 holding Servi￿ on a Sunday, which our commun
finds both beneficial and spirituallyfulfilling. At present six cell group5 meet weekly to discuss
biblical matters, to pray and to support orte another. After schiK>f thildren's dubs take place
on Mondays and Thursdays and Open the Book work in two of our local schools. Mentoring
also tskes place in the local junior and secondary schools. Class worships take place at the
junlor school and monthly whole school collective worships. A Tea and Toast group meets on
a Thursday moming where youn8 children and their carers can meet chat and support one
another. Several Qulz and Meal evenings, and Table Tennls events, have been arranged for
the community.

Working with the Parish Church continues wtth a farewell assembly for the year 6 pupils
Boing to year 7 with coordinating primary and secondary staff. and a Cheerful Cuppa group
that meets on a Wednesday morning. All of these events bring the community together to
help and support one another and to gain ¥iritual benefrt.
DCC continues to support otheror8anisations with gifts to aid their work, irKfudin8:
Alabare, Salisbury: a charity sUPPOrting ¥ulrwable. home1￿ and marginalised people.
Brldge Youth Projert: taking the Christian faith into local schools through assemblies and RE
lessons, supporting the community through youth projects and indusion groups.
Good News for Everyone: supplying materials for junior sthool das5 worship5.
Hope Now: is dedicated to ongoirvd work in the Ukraine working with orphanages and
children in need, evangelism and church planti￿.
Mission Aviation Fellowship: flying evangelists. past4)rs and medical workers to inaccessible
villa8es in various parts of the world. We support Alan and Davina &Jlly who are with MAF in
Mongolia at present.
Rural Mlnistries: a growing network of rural churthes, pioneers and prartitioners. It exists
to Insplre, empower and support denominations, th￿rd￿ and pioneers who are called to
Ilve In rural communities across the UK.
Salisbury Food Bank and the Hospitsl Stars Appeal.
Open Door5- SUPPOrting the persecuted Church around the worfd.
Tear Fund: a leading relief and development tharity. PaSSiOFWte aboutthe local thurth
bringing justice and transforming lives and overcomin8 global poverty.
World Vision-. a Chrlstian organisation and one of the world's leading aid and development
agewe5 working In over l(Xi countries. Our support helps Hurungwe, a community Sn
Zimbabwe.

It Is the trustees, pollcy to malntaln a surplus In the bank to Co￿rthe cost of maintainirvd
the building. Building items and projects completed:
- replaced the maln door UPVC outer surfacek
provided new window sashes in each window panel to increase natural ventilation.

type, soakaway completed.
Strurture, governance and m•n•pment
The method of appointing churth leaders 15 set out in the Churth Leadership Policy. The DCC
leaders are responsible for maknng decisions on all matters of general concern and importarlte
to the thurth including how the funds of DCC are to be spent. They work dosely with thè
trustees whose job is also to maintaln the bullding.

ACCOUNTING BASIS AND POUCIES
The accounts are prepared in accordance with the requlrements of the
Charltles Act 2011 and with the Charities SORP {FRS 102) and Financial
Reportlng Star)dard 101 The accounts are prepared on the historical cost basis.
The account5 are prepared using thefollowing prinaple a￿OUnting poliaes:
Property: the freehold property is induded * rts insured value, as set out in
notes 3 and 5. It is not therefore depreciated. but is subject to review for
Impairment.
Income and expenditure: is recognised on the accrnals basis as and when it
becomes due or payable.
FUNDSAND RESERVES
Property Fund: represents the carrying value of the property glfted to, and
subsequently transferred here from, the previ¢)us unintorporated tharity
(see notes 3 and 51.
Designated giving received for a specific purpose. induding contributlons
towards expense costs, Is regarded as restrirted income but suth funds are
generally paid tyjt In the year of re￿ipt and not carried forward.
In the year ended 5th April 2025 a grant of £500 was received from Wiltshire
Counal to be used for language work with incomers. Thi5 has not yet been
spent and has been carried forward as a restricted income fund.
General Fund: all other￿ndS are re8arded as an unrestricted ger￿al fund.
Reserves policy. the trustees alm to retain in general fund suffiaent reserves
to cover at least three month5 of antiapated expendlture, including covering
the cost of maintainiry the buildin8.

On 23rd Septernber 2021 the freehold of Durrington Free Church. School Road.
Durrinoon, SP4 8HJ was gifted by The Fellowshlp Trust to A E Lund, L M Burrows
and w G Kingwell to hold a$'property holding trustees. on behalf of Ourrington
Community Church ur￿tr unincorporated charity 1053(MxI. The property wo5
valued at that date for insurance purposes at £353.530: as no market ￿lUatIO1)
Is readlly available for such a specialist buildingi this figure wa5 initially Shown
as a property asset and an equivalent fi8ure wa5 included as a donation as part
of income. Changes in the Insured value have subsequently been treated as a
revaluation of the property.
(kn 23rd June 2023 the freehold property was tranderred here at its carying value
as part of the transfer of activities and assets from the unincorporated charity to
this charity (see note 121.
Under the temis of an'overaBe deed. dated 23rd September 2021 the propertv
holdeTs are liable to make an overage payment io ThÈ Evangelical Fellowship of
Congregational Churches Trust Corporation Limited if at any time within 20 years
frorn the date of the deed any part of the property is disposed of. The overa8e
payment would be 9116 of any disposal proceed& There is currently no irrtention
of making any such disposal and no liabiity has thvekne been included in these
accounts.

TrANSFER FROM OLD UNINCORPORATED CHARITY
As r￿ted under'constitution and administation. on pa8e I, the CIO
was set up to take overthe assets and activities of unincorporated
charity number 1053000, also called Durrington Community Church
and established in 1996.
The CIO was registered on 3rd March 2022. It opened its own bank
account and began to deal with regular churth activities from
August 2022. In June 2023 the remaining activities and assets of the
charity, including its freehold property, were transferred to the CIO.
The property was transferred at its ￿rryIng value of £441,276 and
the balance of unrestri¢ted reserves transferred was £14,419.
