All trustees have read the guidance given in the Charity Commission’s document “The Prevention or Relief of Poverty for the Public Benefit”, and understand the statutory requirement to report what has been achieved for the “public benefit”.

**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)**

During the year we made contact with schools, nurseries, social services, health visitors, midwives, food banks and GP’s to determine who the beneficiaries would be. Some beneficiaries also self-referred. Beneficiaries needs are assessed, with support given once a month for a maximum of 3 months. This ensures support and signposting with other agencies takes place.

The work of Witney Baby Bank is carried out voluntarily by the trustees.

Section D Achievements and performance

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

During the 2025/2026 financial year, Witney Baby Bank (WBB) successfully implemented its digital transformation, moving its support service online, supporting families experiencing poverty with supermarket vouchers to use on baby essentials of their choice. Feedback from service users and referral agencies has been entirely positive. In the fight against poverty, the way support is given can be just as important as the support itself. Rather than the traditional approach, of giving donated items to those in need, the voucher scheme has offered a more empowering solution for those receiving support. During the year WBB supported approximately one hundred families, with the majority of them being newly identified to our service.
