The main activities of the charity are to raise funds through donations and fundraising events such as the sponsored ‘Lands End to John O’Groats bike ride’ (LEJOG) Private donations received including significant donations received from Charlies Convoy and from Craig, running a series of 6 Ultra Marathons in the year of 2021. Key projects supported during the year include; 1. To providing respite breaks for families whose child has been diagnosed with a brain tumour or families bereaved because of a childhood brain tumour. 2. The Combat Research Project, which is aimed at helping to better inform families whose child is diagnosed with a paediatric brain tumour, by supporting Hospitals (e.g. Alder Hey Children's Hospital) and/or Charities (e.g. The Brain Tumour Charity, Brain Tumour |

Para 1.20 | 2023 was a successful first year for the charity, since our formation and formal registration as a charity we have: Received donations totalling £71,384, including donations received through JustGiving, £62,132 and Garstang Rugby Union, £6,104. Fundraising events income totalled, £25,588 including £15,000 from LEJOG and £6,131 from Craig’s Ultra marathons. Costs associated with fundraising events were £11,367 resulting in available profit of £14,220 from fundraising for charities |
activities. The above resources were utilised in providing and scheduled respite for 35 families, £20,439 and £12,000 to help support our first research project with Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. Funding ‘the Combat Project’ research that will help standardise the reporting of brain Tumours.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31 March 2023.

Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have examiner's statement come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
