CLIKS (CHRISTIAN LINKS IN KEIGHLEY SCHOOLS) (A CHARITABLE INCORPORATED ORGANISATION) TRUSTEES, REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 AUGUST 2024 Achievements and Performance Throughout the year the trustees were actively trying to recruit a schools. worker and in August were successful in appointing two part time workers who started work on 1 September 2024. During th8 reporting peri(xJ the tnjstees. supported by a total of 23 volunteers from Keighley churches. ran three events, Rewind to Christmas, Rewind to Easter and Fast FO￿ard. These were either run in individual schrx)Is or in local thurches and were attended by a total of 1.325 children. accompanied by their teacher4 representlng on average 10 Keighley Primary schools. Rewind to Christmas tells the Christmas story and Rewind to Easter the story of Good Friday and Easter Day. They are fast-paced ninety-minute. multimedia programmes developed by Scripture Union agreed with schools and include prayer and reflection. They require a large amount of preparation and have slgnificant costs, bui could not be run wrthout the commitment of our volunteers and the hospitality of the churches. Invarfably the fee(Iback from school staff is extremely positive. Our aim Is that all primary school children in Keighley will hear a Christian account of the major Christian festivals Christmas and Easter. Fast Forward is intended to help children the challenging transitton from Year 6 Primary School to High School and again was well attended by 390 ¢hildr8n from 8 schools. Vlslon for the Future Our workers wlll continue to develop new ways of linking Trhryth Keighley Schools. Ben Glllatt 11 focus on seeking to develop new links vfith secondary scho)Is' Tolu Samuel wll focus on prfmary schools, and seek to develop extra-curricular activities with willing schools. Both will engage with the Keighley programme for children- X:site. This offers out of school events with Christian content through after school meetings, holiday dubs and holidays. We will continuè to run the three programmes Rewind to Christmas. Re￿rynd to Easter and Fast Forward. We are open to offering a Chrtslsan input to RE lessons which have Chrlstian ￿ntent as part of the RE syllabus. We will be open to supportlng the use of Open the Book in schools in Keighley. This is a Bible Society programme which tells a Bible story during a 1&minute Primary School Act of Collective Worship. It uses drama. costume and children's pa￿￿patIOn with a story teller and actors. We very much value our donors. supporting churches and Iordl volunteers who all maintain the work of CLIKS.

CLIKS (CHRISTIAN LINKS IN KEIGHLEY SCHOOLS) (A CHARITABLE INCORPORATED ORGANISATION) TRUSTEES. REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 AUGUST 2024 Financlal Review As mentioned above. the CIO did not Cxmnmence operating until shortly ￿fore the year end and this is reflected in the small amounts of income and expenditure for the year. Income for 2024 was £67,071 (2023: £0) which consisted entirely of the bank balan￿ transferred from the CLIKS limited company. Expenditure on charitable activities totslled £1.012 (2023: £0) resulting in a net movement in funds of £66,059 (2023: £0). Followlng the appointment of the tV4Y) part time sdK)ds' VK)rkers with effect from 1 September 2024, the Trustees have reviewed the financial situation up to the date of approval of the accounts and are satisfied that the charity continues to be a going cOn￿M and that the general reserves have not decreased signifieantly Sin￿ August 2024. thereby enabling CLIKS to continue to pursue its charltsble aims and to offer employment for at lèast the next 12 months. Reserves Pollcy As a general rule, the Trustees consider that the company should aim to hold reserves equlvalent to 6 months, expenditure; as of 31 August 2024 free reseryes totalled £66.059, which are in excess of the reserves policy. Now that the two part time s¢hools' v￿rkerS have been recruited the Trustees are applwng for grant funding, but in the absence of any current .1 offers of funding to date. it Is considered prudent to retsin the reseprfes to enable the smooth running of the charfty and cover the 8MFlO￿ént and running costs until new funding is granted.
