agencles,
Our work focuses on helplng people from all walk5 of life, restoring dignity and reviving hope
whether it is with our attendees, supporters or volunteers. We welcome people from all
backgrounds. We are a Christian-based organSsatlon motivated by Jesus, teaching on poverty
and Inlustlce. We operate accordlng to Chr15tian principles of compasslon, honesty, integrity,
openness, klndne55 and care of all people, regardless of backgrounds or beliefs, We belleve
in turnlng faSth Into practlcal actlon, livlng out God's love for everyone. Whilst we are
Chrlstlan-based organlsatlon, we serve and work wlth people of all falth groups and beliefs,

During the flr5t year of operation we have distributed approxlmately 10,000 meals to the
local communlty and supported households with free and low cost food/childrens clothlng.
We have partnered with FuelBank to provlde energy vouchers to those In fuel crlsls and been
able to support 5ndlvlduals wlth other direct support to help wlth the cost of living crisis,
thanks to our generous donors and grant funders. None of this would have been posslble
without our wonderful team of volunteers who turn up every week to 'do their bit, giving
their time, enthusiasm and energy to make The shoebury Ark a welcoming place.
Sadly demand has1ncreased during the year and therefore we wlll contSnue to work to meet
the need5 wherever po￿lble. We see people from a dlverse range of backgrounds and
situations from those unable to work through ill health through to those working but still
unable to make end5 meet. In the coming year we are investing in additional storage,
subject to planning permission. and continuing to develop our links with other1ocal agencies
