TO SUPPORT, PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND OTHER LEISURE OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE LIVING IN WEST NORTHUMBERLAND WHO HAVE A NEED FOR SUCH FACILITIES BY INFIRMITY OR DISABILITY, WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE.2. TO SUPPORT, PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE THE PROVISION OF EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE LIVING IN WEST NORTHUMBERLAND WHO HAVE A LEARNING DISABILITY, WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE.

**Activities:** Gateway into the Community enables people with learning disabilities to take part in a broad programme of leisure and learning opportunities. The safe environment within our own 'groups' prepares our members to participate in mainstream activities in their wider communities. We work to ensure that the inclusion of people who have a learning disability is enjoyable and beneficial for everyone.
