Trustees Annual Report for the Charity Commission
Goodshaw Baptist Church
1 April 2022 – 31 March 2023
Goodshaw Baptist Church was registered with the Charity Commission as a CIO on 22 February 2022.
Due to a complication regarding land owned by the church and the need to resolve this issue the asset transfer was delayed and the assets were transferred from the Unincorporated Organisation to the CIO on 1 July 2023. Until the assets were transferred the church was operating under the Unincorporated Organisation constitution.
Beverley Farrow, the authorised contact person, e mailed the Charity Commission on 21 November 2023 to gain clarification as to what to include in the Annual Report for the 22/23 period but did not receive a reply. On 18 January 2024 she telephoned the Charity Commission to seek clarification. She was advised that the trustees should only include in their report activities relating to the CIO.
As all activities during the period covered by the 22/23 report took place under the Unincorporated Organisation there are no activities to report for the CIO.
(The church has reports and verified accounts for the 22/23 period relating to the Unincorporated Organisation which are available for inspection if required.)
