the Spring event hosted by the Royal Free
Hospttal, London in Spring and by arKI
King's Hospital. London in Aulumn.
2024 at SENA marked thè inaugural year
of new President, Dr Lina Nashef.
Highlights included orwing high number of
attendees (highest recorded lo d8tel and
s￿￿)￿￿r5{1n￿￿dIng the highest amount of
funds raised through sponsorship). the
most in the event's history. The events
received excellent feedba¢k vAth an overall
4 out of 5 ratiThJ. and the Tnjslees extend
thelr heartfelt thanks to the dedicated
volunteer team for thwr contributions lo
Furtherrnre, the charity was delighted to
formalty appoint Dr Matthew Harris as
Treasurei in April 2024.
SENA proudly hosted its 40th meeting in
Autumn 2024 ar￿ was delighted lo have in
attendance the alumni of fom81 presidents
who provide their highlights and insights at
the o)nference. TnJstees are gratefvl to
stsnd on these shouldets 8￿1 continue in
ils highty SU￿£$$ful and eve[￿r0￿]￿j
beneffts to the community.

SENA events. Ihe Trustees held and
lemented a strat
ic review and

restructured their meetings, to enable
larger attendan￿ Imeeling feedback and
increasing requirements of the services
provided by the charityl, enhanced venues
8nd sponsorship to ensure financial
5uslainability while keeping Ihe events free
for all participants.
Trustees proudly awarded the 2024
'Registrar Prize, al the Autumn SENA
conferen¢6, awarded to an up and coming
professional in recognition of thei
Conlribubons to neuros¢ignce education.
Feedback confirmed that through
these educational events, neurological
excellence w85 delivered through training
of neurologist I neuroscien￿ professionals
and trainees, in clinical Practi￿ and
research findiThJs.
Furthermore, lèarnings ffom patiént interest
groups provided guidance and fostered
communication on ¢omp18x neurological
well-being for patients & carers.
SENA is committed lo all aspects of
educ8tion and training in neuroscience and
its continuing professional development
ICPDI is recognised by the Royal College
of Physicians IRCPI who awarded CPD
points to attendees for attending SENA
educational events this year- a continuing
endorsement that the SENA trustees were
proud to deliver. in partnership wilh the
RCP. This will continue into 2025.
The next SENA education events will be
hosted by University Hospitals Sussex.
Brighton in April 2025, with further evenls
planned at St. George's Hospital in the
coming year.
SENA'S online offering was also enhanced
this year lo include even more educallonal
informakn.on and webinars by global leaders
of neuroscience on its website.
TTUStees remain very gratefijl to team of
SENA Volunteer RepTesenlatives for their
service and commitment to the association,
which enables the charity to continue lo
deliver with outstanding results.
SENA remain commÈtted to continue
delivering high quality and impact
neuroscien￿ education that fully aligns lo
the SENA'S strategy for sustsinable growth.
