CSM FOUNDATION REPORT OF THE TRUSTEI S FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30 JUNE 2025 Playei. Leagues is CSM Foundatton'5 community football initiative that brings togethei. people from different backgrounds to paiti¢ipate in regulai- f(N)tball activity on a we¢kly basis. The concept is uniqiie as it providcs a "casual-competitive environment that is curi'ently beiiig reseai'ched AS a m¢¢hanism for enhaiiciiig a sense of belonging amongst indivtduals who collectively feel a 5¢ns¢ of community. Tlkis highlights how the pi'ogranune covers individiial benefits of physical, mental and social wellbeing for each individiial involved. Since last yeai. we have fiDm 2 weekly leaglles to 7 weekly leagues. With the growth of Player Leagues has come somc greatei. admini8ti?tive burden. therefore ¢'1Y ¢onv¢rsations have started about brnnding Player Lcagu¢s as it's own entity, delivei'ed by CSM Foutidation. and buildiiig a web app to ¢nable sign ups and subsciiption models to gejierate i'evenue for CSM FoundHtion. For next yeai., s¢hools in Barking and Dagenham should be targeted which will help ¢¢ment CSM Youth's footing in the community as a local football deliverer for youth programm¢s. Part of the bhull¢ng¢s Total for 2024-25= 85 studellts cILLENGEs Tiic fin2ncial And operational pressures faciiig CSM h8ve continued to intensify ov¢r the past year. Demand for the FEED programine has 'own encouragingly. reflecting it5 community impact, but this inoiyased uplake has placed fvrth¢r strain on unrestricted income as inore resoui'ce is directed toward a subsidised provision. Grant iii¢om¢ generation has deteriorated Signifintly, with the propoilion of unsuccessful applications higher than at aiiy prcvious point in the organisation's history. This r¢fle¢ts a broadei- concci'n across the voluntary and community seotor, wli¢re competition for availabl¢ fvnding has become exLeptionally a¢ute. Sport-speciftc funding. particvlai'ly for football, has conti'acted further still. Funders now routinely require woi'kshops and wider skills development activity to be einbedded within any fulldcd pi'ogramine, yet the voluntc¢r committee's ¢apa¢ity to desigTh and deliver thes¢ additions has reduced. Many Committee memb¢rs are navigating growing family commitments alongside career Fro.¢SsIon in their primary employment, and the demands on theii. time ar¢ ooiisiderable. Facility hire costs have in¢r¢as¢d once again, compounding the pressui'es outlincd in last yeai s report and coThtinuing to limit what can bc delivered within existtng budgets. Whilst the numb¢i' of sponsors lias 'own thi'ough the primaiy sponsorship structure and the CSM Busiuess Club, the aggregate value of that sponsoiship incomc has fallen Inarkedly> meaning tlic h¢adline 'Owth in partn¢r numbers has not translated into a Corresponding increase in fancIal suppoit.
