Two in Stevenage**<br>**and one in Baldock with plans for others**<br>**in the future. On date or close to date**<br>**food is collected from local**<br>**supermarkets using our vans and**<br>**volunteer cars. This prevents the food**<br>**going to landfill. The food is made**<br>**available to the public at no cost but we**<br>**ask for a donation of they are able. In**<br>**term time food collected on a Sunday**<br>**evening is taken to a local school for the**<br>**parents to take. In school holidays pop**<br>**up food stations are held. This both**<br>**helps the environment and those who**<br>**are suffering food poverty.**<br>**Throughout the year we get requests for**<br>**help and this could be anything from**<br>**helping with getting someone homeless**<br>**set up in new accommodation, tidying**<br>**elderly individuals’ gardens, moving**<br>**individuals or families without the**<br>**financial means to new homes, building**<br>**furniture, providing homewares such as**<br>**cooking equipment for recent refugees**<br>**and so on.**<br>**The charity also supports the ‘Walk the**<br>**Bridge’ campaign for mental health and**<br>**suicide prevention by hosting a walk in**<br>**the local park every third Sunday of the**<br>**month.**|
